GUERCIOTTI was a legendary sponsor in cyclo-cross in the 1980s and 1990s.

Mostly Belgian and Italian cyclo-cross riders rode in these colours.

This shirt belonged to Peter van den Abeele, not a great cyclo-cross rider, but someone who could hold his own in the then newly emerging Mountain Bike sport. The Czech Radomir Simunek Sr also rode in this shirt in the same years.

After his active career, Peter was active for a long time as coordinator of the Cyclocross and Mountain Bike races on behalf of the UCI.
