On the occasion of the 2099th birthday (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) of Julius Ceasar on July 14, 1999, the SAECO team wore this special shirt in the 9th stage of the Tour de France (le Grand Bornand-Sestriere).

Mario Cipollini won 4 stages in the first week of this Tour de France and this was a great opportunity to celebrate. Mario came dressed as Julius Ceasar at the start.

Mario Cipollini had more of these fancy dress parties, once he wore a TIGER PRINT time trial suit and also a LEOPARD shirt.

Once again the SAECO team received a hefty fine for wearing an unapproved, non-standard shirt, Mario Cipollini dropped out that day during this mountain stage.
